We take on special projects with quality-focussed clients and collaborators, turning ideas into value and creating spaces with personality.
We try to maximise the potential of each project, with every client and whatever the sector, creating bold design concepts before developing and bringing them to life with a high attention to detail.
We have experience in the civic, culture, residential, commercial, hospitality, retail and life science sectors, but are continually growing this list.

Studio Merlin was founded by Josh Piddock, an Architect with a passion for well conceived and playfully crafted design.
Josh studied at the University of Sheffield and completed his professional training at the University of Bath.
Josh has worked for various architectural practices, including Project Orange and Feix&Merlin Architects, where he led the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Walworth Town Hall for General Projects, a number of hotels, restaurants and commercial projects, as well as private residences and housing schemes. Additionally, stints with an organiser of large architectural design competitions and as an Entrepreneur in Residence at a Venture Capital firm have given Josh a unique perspective of the built environment.
Josh oversees all projects, ensuring each is delivered with the care, skill and attention that it deserves.
